Making a major theological breakthrough is a major source of pride for me. Sometimes, its application feels a bit anti-climatic. The impact on life is massive, but when I’m explaining it, the set up seems more elaborate than necessary. Enjoying life to the fullest while minimizing pain appears shallow in comparison to the depth of understanding required to gain it.
I wonder if there is a deeper meaning to life that can be found in my discovery I cannot see due to my personal limitations. I didn’t formulate my one opinion after contemplation of the two facts. Within minutes of my breakthrough, its positive affect on my worldview was automatic and involuntary. I had to reverse my thought process in order to figure out why.
As a cold blooded hedonist, the ability to experience the best of both worlds without delusion is just too obvious and appealing to see anything else. Heaven being found in loss keeps the pursuit of pleasure from leading to misuse or abuse. Forgetfulness is the only avenue for suffering, so staying mindful during as many events as possible is a priority.
Is it vain to be so self-centered when it leads to a better attitude and actions? I don’t know. Even altruism is rooted in personal values a good feelings. True selflessness is impossible. Finding pleasure in more noble activities requires the same vigilance to keep disappointing results from leading to unnecessary pain or suffering.
What you love isn’t as important as how much you love it. Extreme affection for anything besides the creator is a bad idea. My interests are not a part of the philosophy. As long as every participant is capable of consent and there are no victims, any opinion I have about your interests are irrelevant.
I only share this one opinion: remembering the two facts God is to reality what zero is to math and with God is heaven or hell improves life because I only argue the irrefutable. It is the only opinion that fits the absolute truths without inserting personal bias. My limits in interpretation do not have to limit your application. Feel free to explore all the ways the truth about God can impact your life.
Intellectual Righteousness is an introduction of thought where there was only faith or denial. It is an invitation to think rationally about God when you have logical proof at your disposal. Why disagree when you have no basis? It is better to know than just believe.
